What is the half-fill method?
It's a simple trick from paper checklists and bullet journals. Instead of waiting until a task is completely finished before you tick it off, you fill in half of its box the moment you start. When the task is done, you fill in the rest.
That small step makes a real difference. Getting started is often the hardest part, and a half-filled box gives you credit for it. It also shows you at a glance what's already under way, so nothing you've started quietly slips through the cracks.
Mako List builds the method right in. Tasks you haven't started have an empty box. Once you've started one, its box is half-filled. Finished tasks get a filled box and a red line through them. Headings work the same way: when some of the tasks under a heading are done, the heading's box is half-filled too, so you can see how far along the whole group is.
